I can’t help with the bolt positions, but just to say that a few people have found this problem the hard (er) way when their hp pipe from the pump to the common rail fractured. Since yours must have been running like this it might pay to change that pipe as a precaution.
Ihave a 2.4 jtdm and I have it recently remapped. Since then I have a slight oscillation of boost pressure at full throttle @ almost maximum boost (about 1.5 bar). The problem is much more noticeable in higher gears (5&6).

R4LIb. Thatmight be your issue, i think the regen happens on average every 400mi, although wholly dependent on your driving style, types of road etc - as it's possible your DPF is clogged and mapped out, the car will not regen. Alfa Romeo 159 2.4 JTDM Sensor -
