When I play, sometimes the D key that is responsible for the player's right move doesn't work. I checked if it is installed by default in the settings installed und yeah, it is set to walk to the right. Only rebooting the game helps. Not everyone likes using mouse and keyboard. TLDR: Turn off Steam controller configuration and rely only Ubisoft's controller detection. If you deactivate Steam's controller configuration (Shift-Tab in game --> Controller Configuration) and then restart the game, the issue goes away. Seems Ubisoft didn't test if Steam would interfere with the All the buttons, triggers, D-Pad, etc. work great! I had to reconfigure one of the triggers when I first installed the fix, other than that it was very straightforward. Below is the link to the files required for this fix. First it wouldn't recognize, then D-pad wouldn't work (which it still doesn't, I just rebound the D-pad to the keyboard keys, so throwing rocks gets real weirdy), and the best way I've found to reverse is to set a waypoint, get in the passenger seat, and wait for your Open Steam in Big Picture, go to Far Cry 5, Controller options, Set to "Forced off". SUCCESS. Settings can't fix the problem. Only the developers can. Think about this. The Left trigger WORKS as and aim button. The left trigger DOES NOT WORK for brake/reverse. The B button WORKS as a crouch/slide button. Oh no it’s completely fine lol, the steam deck is like a Nintendo switch but for PC gaming, the controllers are part of the console and not Bluetooth so it’s more of a game compatibility issue then a hardware issue, my guess is that it keeps “thinking” it’s using keyboard instead of controller and it keeps switching between prompts etc, I’ve had similar happen with other games on How to use x360ce emulator with Far Cry 5 on PC. Neither my dualsense controller or my dualshock controller works. It won't connect with my pc and let me control the playstation. I never had this issue on the ps4. XBOX Controller is working correctly in Windows 10 (latest patches) but is not recognised in FC6 when pressing any buttons or moving the sticks. Gaming from the link is my only real chance to play nowadays, when the family are asleep my PC isn't in the best spot, whereas the convenience of the SL is awesome! Not having Far Cry 4 is really infuriating, especially when I can see it working but can't move!
